Fuat Shakjiri

Indie developer building privacy-first browser tools with local capture and search.

I'm Fuat, a full-stack developer and the person behind TraceMind. I got tired of losing pages in my browser history and built a tool to fix it.

Browser history search is broken. Chrome only searches titles and URLs. When you remember the content of a page but not its title, you're stuck. I built an AI that understands meaning while keeping core capture, indexing, and search in your browser. Optional Pro Chat is separate and sends current Chat turns plus selected context directly to the AI provider you choose.

No venture capital. No data harvesting. Just useful software at a fair price.

My Principles

  • Privacy by design: Core capture, indexing, storage, search, screenshots, and analytics run locally on your device. TraceMind does not receive that browsing data.
  • Offline core: Core search works offline. Optional provider-backed Chat requires a connection.
  • Honest pricing: Free tier is genuinely useful. Paid tier funds development.
  • User-first: I build what solves real problems, not what looks good in metrics.

What I Build

TraceMind is my main project: an AI-powered browser history search extension. It captures eligible pages you visit, can capture screenshots, and lets you search by meaning. Find that article you read last week by describing what it was about, not by guessing keywords.

The extension works on Chrome, Brave, Edge, Opera, Vivaldi, and all Chromium-based browsers.

I write about browser privacy, local-first AI, and the journey of building indie software.
